What is this?
Ever wondered what the U.S. Congressional district you vote in would look like if the voting maps were drawn by the community instead of by politicians in Austin? If so, mark 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, on your calendar. Join the League of Women Voters-Comal Area, LWV Texas and LWV Hays County on zoom as they unveil voting maps drawn by community leaders in Comal, Guadalupe and Hays counties in August.
“By defining our common resources and values, we believe we can better articulate what a truly representative voting district should look like,” said Jerrie Champlin, president of the League of Women Voters-Comal Area. The League will be submitting maps to assist legislators in drawing fair and equitable voting maps in the upcoming special redistricting session. Like all activities of the LWV, this event is nonpartisan. Join Zoom Meeting
