The MLK Association has rescheduled the cancelled MLK Day Celebration. The program includes a stirring rendition of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech by Rev. Edward K. Maney, who almost literally BECOMES Dr. King, music by Canyon High School soloist Sylas Greene singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing", Canyon High School Black Student Union soloist Debra Ellis singing "Rise Up", a rousing performance by the Canyon High School BSU Step Team, AND a spoken-word poetic presentation about Dr. King and Black History by USAF Veteran & UT Longhorn Alum Christian Franklin.
